So much of our family life centers around routines and moods that I get all excited when we find a chance to be spontaneous. Today our routine trip to Target turned into lunch at our favorite restaurant and a walk in the park. It's a rare sunny, warm winter day, and lots of people were out with their families and dogs. One couple stopped to show us the tricks their dog could do. The girls loved it.Another unexpected moment ... At the restaurant, a young couple was seated in the booth next to us. The young woman was Asian. When they got up to leave, she stopped to say hello to the girls and asked if they were adopted. We chatted for a few minutes. It turns out she was adopted from Korea when she was 4 months old. She was so sweet and lovely, and the girls were enthralled with meeting an older Asian adoptee.

This is a beautiful photo!! I wish we could go out in T-shirts :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet photo! And what a gorgeous day you got! We were freezing here.
ReplyDeleteI am jeallous over the nice weather, it is soo cold and windy here today.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great experience that was. Sometimes the best things happen in the middle of the ordinary.
What a wonderful thing at the restaurant. I'm jealous too of your t-shirt weather. It's in the teens here...
ReplyDeleteI think it hit 24 degrees here today, but so windy it felt like below zero. So glad you and your girls got to enjoy such nice weather. What a nice day you ended up having!
